Mine has one. Factory unit, cost included in my price. I really didn't want one and I'm going to be removing it.

mine just came with no, no extra cash. Can someone tell me the full details what these do anyways..lol. I heard a small part of what it does but i never had one on any other car so i didnt know much about it. At first i though it was just for the battery.

A block heater? It, um, heats the block.

thank you smart ***..lol. I know that much, but does it keep both coolant and oil warm? Does it help your heater to warm up the passenger compartment faster? Like i said, my old car never had it so i never know of it.

Sorry I could not resist.

Let's just say it keeps the coolant and oil warm(er). Don't expect a bunch of difference in the passenger compartment. But the heater will be pumping hot air a wee bit sooner. I still foresee freezing of some ***. You have heated seats?

This is quite frankly the first I've heard of a non-diesel with a block heater. But Ima from a more temperate zone.
