Default Weather & Steering

So winter has arrived in Dubai and the colder temperatures (17 to 25 celcius) means that my Z feels so much more response. The colder air going into the engine allows the car to breath easier compared to when its having to deal with air temps of 40 celcius plus. The other thing is the brakes feel so much better when pushed. Has anyone else who live in hot climates felt this or am I just experiencing a placebo effect?

On a separate note I've seen many posts on the forum relating to the steering lock problem, my problem seems to be different, when turning right and under light load I get a creaking sound, like a spring is being wound up, some days its worse than others, any ideas?

While colder temperatures will produce a noticeable effect on engine performance, I've never noticed the same with brakes. Maybe it's there and I just haven't noticed.

Wink

Could be a sway bar bushing. Grease them or wrap teflon tape around the area where the bushing sits.
