DBA 2-piece + Carbotech pads, but problem

Last night I installed the DBA-5000 series front rotors and Carbotech 1521's. When I got home and looked at the rotor, it looked like the pad was not making full

When I got home and looked at the rotor, it looked like the pad was not making full contact with the whole surface of the rotor. Should it be, or is this normal?
