Coilovers

I got kinetix. I have fronts only and have close to 33k and love em. The stock bushings were shot at 22k lol. They are greasable bushings which I like.

So I finally installed the coilovers and my friend that said that I would not need camber kits was wrong and all of you here are right. I did get Kinetics rear camber and traction kit just to be on the safe side and I am now about to buy a camber kit for the front since Stance only makes the front coilovers with built in camber plate for vehicles with McPherson type suspension. Yes I should have been able to figure this out prior to installing the coilovers but the same friend said it had the front camber plate.

The shop that did the install pretty much set it to the lowest. It did look great but I scraped the mid section of the exhaust pipe really hard while going into my own garage. So I had to raise it up about an inch. Once I get the front camber kit I will do another alignment and I should be able to get everything back to spec.

You can look at my photo album to see it on the alignment lift. It's not the best pic but you can somewhat see how low it was. I will post pics showing the current height soon.

The rear has a camber kit. The guy that did the alignment said that's the best he could do with it being so low. I should be able to get everything in the green with the next alignment.

I'd say it's about time to stop listening to that friend as far as car mods go.

Wait- you have camber arms installed in the rear and can only get -5.0?

Yes. The tires would have been right up against the fenders if the guy tried to get closer to zero. Does this not sound right to you? Should I find another shop to do my alignment?

Are you running aftermarket wheels and tires? If you're on stock wheels and tires and he can't get the alignment right with camber arms and toe bolts installed, I'd try another place.

I have stock wheels and tires. I also have 20mm spacers installed. I'm sure the camber would have been better if they were off.

I can't see those spacers making that big of a difference in camber. I'd go try another alignment shop.
