Camber kit install advise

Ok im pissed! Im done going thru tires left and right. So after blowing out a tire this morning i decided to call Z1 Motorsports and get some advise. Talked to chuck ( I believe was his name) and he pointed me in the right direction. Ordred a SPC camber kit. Z1 was very helpful...

Now im sitting like 3.6 in the back. My tire shop is telling me they need to drill out a piece to get the toe bolt to fit in properly. Is this true? If so they want to charge me an hour labor.

I can install this myself and want to save a bit of money, any write ups on how to install the toe bolt correctly?

Accurate. Rear toe bolt (SPC) does require enlarging the hole.

I can do this myself. but is it as simple as enlarging the hole and just droping the bolt inside? or any other special things needed?

I got it done at Amplified. Drilled it. Not sure what specs on drill/bits.

I don't recall reading any DIY on it but I think I've read of folks doing it in themselves with the right tools, maybe someone chimes in.

My toe is actually in spec when i had an alignment done two months ago. When putting postive camber back into the wheel will it adjust the toe????

You may not need to use the toe bolt though, I installed mine about 2 months ago and didn't need them. The shop was able to get my wheels back to oem specs

Edit: My car is lowered on H&R springs and is running 20/25mm spacers and I still had enough room to make it back to specs. Running just the camber links or upper control arms should be perfectly fine without the toe bolts

Ok, ya the kit comes with the Toe bolts. Im hoping at least 2 degrees. from what ive measured i think i can get to that without rubbing. ill upload a picture in a little bit. Im running stance coils. the car is pretty much on its nuts.

Not really making the hole bigger your just elongating it. SPC template tells you to center the hole and mark the oval. That makes you remove a little from each side..

Couple of guys on here recommend not centering the template with the hole. They recommend elongating the hole into an ovel in the direction of the rear dif to give you more adjustment.

Here read this, these guys are a lot smarter that me !!!! And there are pictures..

Ditto...unfortunately I went through rear tires before realizing that the holes needed to be elongated. Bought a new rear set, had the holes enlarged and now it is perfect!!!

Yea unless you get the midlink or converted to true coilover setup and buy the toe arm. Spl doesn't include the toe bolts, you need to buy them.

OEM bolt would be fine right?

Currently dropped on swifts, need to fix my camber for sure.
I ordered the SPC Front camber arms and the SPL read camber links (SPL RLL Z34)

The link that Nut/n/much posted is a good one to follow for installing the bolts. I marked the template with white out as the template will shift when you start to grind. IMO if you went went for the SPL in the rear may as well go for the SPL in the front. much better design and easier adjusting. You also get to adjust camber and caster.
