Stock brake fluid color

i've heard and read that racing application brake fluid for dd use is NOT good due to the fact that it is more succeptable to moisture buildup. Im not sure

i've heard and read that racing application brake fluid for dd use is NOT good due to the fact that it is more succeptable to moisture buildup. Im not sure if this has been proven. I prefer valovline's synthetic blend personally.I don't personally own a nismo, but would most likely bet that no it isn't blue normally. I would take it to your dealer and explain to them that you want the factory oil in it and that you feel it could be a at risk car.

According to this that is not the case...


"DOT 3 and 4 based brake fluids are hydroscopic and will absorb and hold water and still function (although the water molecules lead to rust within the brake system). These are Poly-glycol based just like glycol-based antifreeze. Silicone-based fluids are non-hydroscopic meaning that they will not absorb or mix with water."
