I scrape my chin spoiler/wheel deflectors at least once a week and I am stock ride height. It's the mud flaps that surprised me.

Your car doesn't look any lower than DDmotorsports' car, however he is running a little stiffer spring rate front and back. But until this week he was using the stock sway bars as well. Maybe pull it up an 1/8th of an inch and see if you feel a difference. 1/8th of an inch won't be noticeable for looks, but might make all the difference for scraping.

on another note, man those stock wheels look tucked dropped like that, lol.

I wouldnt worry about the bottom of the front bumper scraping honestly. The Z has a small black lip that protects the painted part of the bumper anyways.I would just worry about going over steep paved enterance ways,,AKA really small steep hills. Youll scrape your under carriage all to sh*t no matter how slow you go over it.

I speak from experience with a 1.5" drop all around on my Z..It looks beautiful but you need to be really really slow over any hills. slopped enterance ways or bumpy roads.

Hmm...your car doesnt look too low at all. I only look **slighty** lower than the Eibach drop on stockies? you must be getting a lot of sway which is weird since your running Hotchkis?

I measured 27.7"F 27.8"R (full tank)

I I lowered to 26.0" (-1.7") and it was not usable as a sports car. As a poseur car, it would be cool, but not livable if you had any driveways you wanted to get in to.

I went up to 26.3" (-1.4") and it was close to being usable as a sports car, but really difficult on driveways and with fender rubbing on heavy cornering loads and chin spoiler scraping under braking.

Then I went to 26.5" (-1.2") and it's now tolerable. Chin spoiler still crapes under braking. I still have to be careful with exhaust going over speed bumps and chin spoiler in driveways. But, nothing scraped on the open road other than chin spoiler during performance driving.

Most recently I went to 15 mm Ichiba spacers front and rear with 275/35/19 F and 305/30/19 R at 26.5". The fronts now scrape the fender liners under heavy cornering. The rears are just fine.

I have Megan Racing dampers, with 30 position damping as well. I run #10 from firmest. It is very firm, but keeps nose from touching down so often.

Sounds like the performance of my setup is very similar to yours. It's tolerable, but you have to be careful with it.... good for a weekend play car, but not good for a daily driver.

I remember eibach cancelled there sportline springs which were supposed to
Be a 1.5 to 2.5 in drop because they felt it would have negative effects on
Ride quality n had clearance issues.
They stated the .09f .08r were the lowest they can go without negative effects.
Many of the guys on here are waiting for possible solutions from Zele n
HKS. Hoping they will design something that will drop the car 2in.
Were your springs for the 370z specifically or was it a custom retro fit?

Poseurs don't care about handling...

If you do, you won''t go much beyond 1"

i agree, and i do care about handling. it handles perfect, just scrapes a little plastic in the process.

What size tires do you suggest to 9.5x19 and 11x19 wheels.

I gotta agree also that 1" is good enough for better center of gravity
To increase handling. Going any lower will inhibit performance and
Just increase damage severity when hitting bumps.
But the guys that do it have pretty kool lookin show cars.
