Default Ordered my new brakes

Wanting to do some aggressive up and down hill mountain driving and don't want to rely on the stock brakes. Ordered a set of the XP8s from Z1 Motorsports today. Going to install on a DD so we'll see how they work. Looks like I should get them in about 2 weeks. Got some Motul RBF600 too. That should be enough for now. First time ordering with them and so far I really like Z1. Lots of emails letting me know what's going on.

I have heard great things about Z1s service!

Love Z1. Just installed some brake parts I ordered from them. Slotted rotors, pads and Z1's very own SS brakeline kit along with Motul RBF600 The braking improvement is excellent. I highly suggest SS brakelines along with the pads to increase stopping power and pedal feel

The SS lines are a must IMO. Pointless to do the rest if you didn't. The XP8's are fine for DD. I loved mine.

Yeah, the SS brake lines are on the list. I'm just up to $900 in upgrades this week and need to control myself a little bit.

Doing a DIY oil cooler. Will post pics if it all turns out as expected.

XP8 Pads & Motul RBF Fluid Installed
Pads Bedded 90mph-30mph 6 times in a row. Full brakes/full throttle/full bakes/etc

Driving out of the driveway I did a brake test, cold they stop about like stock. Road them for a while to warm them out before getting out of the hood. Made my way to my brake test area. Stops were all consistent from warm to really hot.

Got back and looked at them. All the sand grooves (from conditioning the discs) were gone, just really shinny metal. Quite a bit of dust. Cleaned and waxed the wheels while they were off. Now they have what would of been about 5+ weeks worth of commute dust on them.

Not a squeek out of them yet. So far I like them!
Vacuum bleeding is the only way to go. 1st time I did it this way.

Very nice! The 2013 is supposed to come with SS brake lines.

They need to go ahead and install a SS clutch line also.

SST lines are a future upgrade for me. BTW, here are some pics of the XP8s next to the stockers.
The stock ones I had looked like semi-metalic since it had pits of copper and some silver colored metal in it. Maybe Nissan switched in late 2011?

Doh, 1 more thing...

I'm, always paranoid about people lifting my car in the wrong spot and denting the sheetmetal. Here's a little do-dad I made for my jack. I highly recommend doing this if you want to lift at the correct locations. Simple 2x4 with 2 slits cut with a hand saw, then the middle slice is popped out with a screw driver.
