hmmm ok I will give that a try and see what my clearance is like going that way

this thread made me chuckle. "dangerously close" hahahah man ive slid the front nose of my nismo up drive ways and sh1t plenty of times. no i dont like it and it makes me cringe, but getting out to measure the distance and everything... hehhee just makes me laugh.

when the "newness" of your nissan wears off you will chuckle as well OP.

No sorry i wasn't clear, i meant it does adjust dampening.

I was supposed to put a deposit on these this morning and receive them in a couple weeks, but as of right now I doubt this will happen because of the driveway issue and I refuse to have aftermarket wheels without a drop.

Here's how my firend's Z (the one in your pic) looks now.

Default Drop it or not

I may be nuts or something, but I like em without a drop. To me it looks better and obviously less chance of scraping everywhere.

A good set of coil-overs you can go lower and not worry about scraping. Usually they don't have the dip of regular shocks nor the compression. I was low on my RsX with mine and had low front shell. I never scraped now speed bumps and high angles will get you, but they even get the super cars.

Maybe bag the car you can go high and low.

To be honest, you'll get used to the scraping. If you're lowered enough, it's inevitable. At first, I'd cringe at the sound of my front lip scraping but whatever. I scrape on a daily basis coming in and out of my girlfriend's house. That's why I use her C300 as my daily now LOL.

Can someone confirm which blades are those? are those the EVO-R? If so, can someone chime in and explain how it was possible to install the blades without removing the front splash guards?

The blades drop down low enough to accommodate the guards. They appear to be evo-r.

I would make the next mod: FIXING THE DRIVEWAY! If the driveway is such a pain at this height why not spend some money to accommodate your current and future rides.... just a thought.

Asking this crowd if you should drop? LOL

I was lowered on Tanabes and had to go back to a stock set-up after destroying the front lip, fender liners, etc. from scraping my driveway, speed bumps, etc. The handling was worse too due to zero damping.

Looks great, but very impractical if you live in an area where the roads are heavily crowned, like here in Houston.

Trust me, with your driveway, you'll be miserable with a drop.
