Baer, that top ring you're saying to use the spanner wrench on, that adjusts the preload. So you're saying NOT to unlock those preload rings, just grab onto them as a torque point to rotate the strut? This won't move or change the preload setting? I get that the bottom needs to stay in place if you're doing this as this will raise/lower the coilover, but what about the three bolts up top? Does that top plate rotate independently of the rest of the coilover? I assume I would also need to unbolt the brake line bracket as well as remove those 4 grommets, correct? And you're saying there's still enough space inside for the unit to rotate without getting stuck on anything?
