Default Uneven front camber

I just installed Swift springs on my Z and now my front camber is uneven. -1.2 on the driver side and -1.8 on the passenger side. Drop is pretty even, though I thought the driver side was a tad higher, but I think that has settled down to even now... What can cause this? And is is faily common to have uneven camber? My rears are dead even...

since you cant adjust from camber then yes that is a lil odd. they will be dif than factory specs, but should be off by close to the same amount.

What is your front toe setting? Do you have the camber specs before the spring install? It could mean that something is bent.

I don't have before specs. But I did put on Nismo suspension, then swapped back out to OEM with Swift springs. Could a unsettled install cause this? ie spring not seated correctly, or shock not aligned correctly...

Did you get an alignment when the nismo was on? I don't think it's possible for the shocks to not be aligned because it wouldn't fit Back into the z. It's possible the spring wasn't placed properly, but unlikely as you would of noticed it when you installed. Is it noticable when you look at it?If not then I wouldn't worry about it.

-1.8 on the left and -1.2 on the right is a pretty big difference for a street driven car. I would want to get it fixed.

Agreed. Max I would accept is 0.2 difference.

It's actually the driver side that is -1.2. Passenger side is -1.8. So that's a little better as in theory a heavy driver would cause that side to drop more...

But I want to get it fixed. What can I do? I guess buy a front camber kit but I rather avoid that if I can!

You're just barely off. I think you're ok.

I saw the same thing when I installed my coilovers...-1.0 driver side and -1.6 passenger side. Getting front camber kit to fix is the only way to correct it.

max of 0.2??? the max spec between camber is 0.5 difference and there will always be a 0.3- 0.5 right from the factory, this is to compensate for road crown. I wouldnt worry about it, your car had a .5-.6 degree before the drop, after u lower it more.. your gonna get more natural camber so the numbers look bigger but your overall difference is still in spec.

compensate for road crown? never heard that one before? how do they compensate when you CANT adjust front camber from the factory? and what about the cars driven on the other side of the road like in japan? same deal with road crown? they adjust the other way? how since you cant adjust it?

lotsa questions!

i know u CANT adjust front camber, and its the way the front control arm is designed, ive done over 800 alignments on every nissan car u can think of, everyones the same. and for japan the control arm is designed for the other side.. common sense. If u dont know what road crown is, its the way the roads angle to allow water to run off into the drains. If u dont beleive me ill post 15 alignments off all different nissan cars, and the camber is 0.5 diffference on all of them.

no problem man, and i jsut want to make a correction to my post before, not every car has a 0.5 degree difference in camber.. the maxima's and altimas tend to use caster or SAI to compensate for road crown. Thats because there front wheel drive and the cars drive line is pulling instead of pushing. Camber pulls to the bigger number so in your case LF is -1.2 and RF is -1.8 so you have a pull to the left by 0.5-0.6 for road crown. Caster or SAI always pulls towards the smaller number. TJlaser you can get a upper control to even it out, but your cars gonna pull towards the curb and you be constantly correcting your steering wheel.
