I was told that the 'floaty' feeling during fast driving over uneven surfaces will be gone since the shocks will be stiff; here's hoping for that being true. I didn't want to get coils because I have Swift springs and they are great from personal experience of 4K miles on em now. I've read nothing but good things about Koni + Swift on here.

Anyways, I'll report back after Seb@SpecialtyZ does the install. I'll also ask him to install the 20/25MM spacers for me since the wheels will be off anyway. I got base wheels and will post pics after all is done.

Thanks to everyone on this forum for great info in this thread. Of all the car fourms I've checked out, this one is really special... without bias

The reason that you are getting the "floaty" feeling is because of the shock bound and rebound rates aren't paired or designed to work with the spring that you have. When you do get the kw3's you can adjust the valving to where it eliminates it. But on the other hand when you start to adjust it to be a little stiffer, your handling will change a lot. Just a fyi imho, im lookin to get the stance coilover kit here in the near future.

I just installed 20F/25R and rear camber kit, Lowered on Swift. I was wondering, what are the alignment specs for people who is running same setup. Thank you!

From what many of my customers have been telling me the swift springs bring the camber in the front to about negative 1.8-2 degrees camber and in the rear about negative 2-2.5 degrees of negative camber.

No firmer than stock. Just lower and handles better.

Nissan truly developed some fantastic dampening for the Z. I've never driven a sports car that rides this compliantly, being this low. There are cars with bigger wheel gaps that are much stiffer over every bump - the 370Z is simply triumphant in that regard. That's why I love this car so much.

The swifts ride even better with 2013 euro-tuned shocks Nissan is providing with the 2013 model. Much better ride than Konica swift combo. And the twistes are awesome.

What do you mean by 'better'? You can adjust the Koni's, can you adjust the euro-tuned shocks?

I'm sure you can make them ride the same, but it all depends on how you end up feeling the car. I like the fact that the shocks can be adjusted. Cost me $250 over the euro-tuned price.

You did not let me drive yours the last two times I was over at your house......hurt. A buddy of mines friend was visiting from out of town, not on the forum. Setup was one full turn the fronts and three clicks up from soft on the rear. They rode just like my 350z setup I had, stiff for daily driving, can you say where's the nearest chiropractor (for this old man). Like I said in my previous post it's a personal opinion and preference, me wanting a smooth daily drive.

It felt like the rear was trying to keep in tune with the front. Maybe the setup was off. Again guys not to deter anyone getting the Konica/swift setup...it was just not for me. Like I said before they ride a bit stiffer and are better suited for track use.

Why would I want them to be adjustable? The combo with spring rate and valving of the euro tuned are a perfect match. Any more compression on the shock would just ruin the ride. Problem with Konica and has always been a gripe is that their shock is only setup for compression and no rebound. If I were to pay the extra $250 for them I would want rebound also. Take a look at my previous post a few pages back. I give my opinion and it is just one persons opinion and may not be what everyone else is looking for a performance suspension setup. My apologies if I was vague with my statement of "better". I am sure their are a lot of happy members with the Konica/swift setup, just not me.

Hmm....decisions...decisions now. Do I go with the Koni's....or the 2013 Euro-Tuned shocks...

I smell a vote coming on...

Thanks, and sure repost. My iPad has not learned the word Koni yet and still edits it to Konica. Hopefully soon I will open a separate thread on the Swift/Euro Tuned setup.
