That looks awesome JT, it shouldn't go lower that so you are pretty much looking at how it is. Did anyone else measure their actual drop? Some of you guys pictures look like more of a drop than 1.2" front and 1.0" rear, I got a drop of 1.3" front and 1.1" in the rear so just wondering.

Got my spring today but I can't install it until Saturday,,,,, and today is only Monday,,f****##k :ughdance: I can't wait!

LOL... I'm planning to change out the springs, brake rotors, pads, brake lines, brake fluid, and tires sometime in May and I've already ordered everything (except tires). Just going down the wishlist... pictures sometime this June after getting some other work done (crosses fingers).

My set are on the way! Cant wait! Wont be installed until April though due to hibernation mode lol

Damn they should have used a Z for the new Knight Rider and maybe the show wouldn't have been cancelled.

I'm seriously thinking about these springs...I just have to find out what class they would put me in for Auto-X.

Depends on what else you have done to your car, but if the springs are the only modification, it looks like you'd end up in BSP.
If you're a serious SCCA Solo competitor, you probably already know this and know that it takes a lot more than a set of lowering springs to build a class winning car. You might consider staying stock.
If you're not a contender, don't sweat what class you're going to be in! Run what you brung, enjoy your car and have a good time!

Yeah I stayed stock with the Z for a whole season before moving to Korea. My experience with BSP is that there are some sick cars and drivers competing.

As far as mods, I have the Stillen Gen 3 intake and catback waiting for me when I return to the states. Whatever class I'm in I'll have fun even if I'm in dead last.

You should be warned that Stock class is pretty intense at the National level and the talent is abundant and the cars aren't really stock at all.
I did an "arrive and drive" at the 2000 SCCA Solo II Nationals in a 1998 Acura Integra Type R that had won the National Championship the year before. It was prepared with re-worked shock absorbers, a wild alignment, different sized tires front and rear, a cat-back and any other thing that could be adjusted or modified and still stay within SCCA Stock class according to the rules!

No more than a week, if that long. If you have driven it a couple times and the car has been allowed to sit for a little while between drives, they should be settled at that point.

You will love them, I still can't believe how much of a positive difference it made to the overall handling dynamics of the car even with my Stillen sway bars set to aggressive.

Rides definitely stiffer than stock but still very comfortable. Handling is much improved and you definitely notice the lower center of gravity. Gonna upgrade to eibach sways in a few weeks.

Note: I do not wish to offend anyone about my thoughts on some examples used here. Plus, this is going to be the first time getting lowering springs.

Concerning functionality, I'm all for improved ride quality and handling with these springs. In terms of looks, I want to make sure the gap is narrowed without ending up with a "ricey" impractically sunken look. My car currently looks silly with 255/35 & 285/30 tires at stock height. There's more than a 3 finger gap. Other than that, it drives fine.

In regards to a 1" drop for the rear, I'm a bit confused by the way the rear end is lowered. However it may be perspective differences in the way the photos were taken. I've seen a few pictures of cars with 305 tires at stock height showing some significant wheel gap. Osiris, with 305 tires and Swift springs, has a very nice gap. However, his springs hasn't settled yet. 98intrigue also has 305 tires, but with H&R springs. His rear tires look tucked in making it appear to be lowered by more than 1". Then there's pictures of the Sport and Nismo cars with Swift springs with nice wheel gap.

I'm still debating about 285/35 versus 305/30 tires to handle extra power from FI, but I'm worried about a couple of things:
- Funky tucked in look.
- F.I. exhaust cans scraping. At stock height and 285/30 tires, the cans scraped on occasions such as backing out of the driveway.

Anyhow, I'm planning to get new tires when the Swift springs get installed. To be safe, it'll be 255/40 & 285/35. For aggressive, it'll be 275/35 & 305/30. :icon14:

As far as settling, i don't anticipate the rear settling more than another .1 or .2 inch for a total of 1 to 1.1" Also, i think the wheel/offset also has a huge impact on the appearance of the gap. I think some others running 305's have them installed on stock wheels. As for mine, i have them on the Volks with 22+ front and +12 rear offsets bringing them closer to the outter edge of the wheel well and making the gap appear smaller.

Let me know if you want me to take shots of different angles.

Thanks! My GT-S rear offsets are +8mm, and I still have a few more months to decide. Please update us with new photos once your springs has settled after you get your alignment done, if necessary.

Also, the camber will affect how the drop looks for the reason that Osiris noted regarding how flush the wheel is with respect to the fender.

Do these springs put anymore stress on your stock shocks? Should I be changing my shocks too?

Do any of you guys get a creaking noise in the front when going up/down a driveway?

Where is it coming from? I get some groans once in a while going diagonally up driveways when it is cold but that is from some body flex.

Sound seems to be from the front passenger wheel area.

No, I definitely don't have that on my car. Does it happen all the time or just once in a while? Also, do you live some place cold?

Just installed my swift springs yesterday. Now the car still rides smooth, looks aggressive and handles awesome. It's def. worth every penny:happydance: I would recommend this springs to anyone.

I live in Cali, and I installed the springs while it was raining really hard. I believe I remember hearing some noises going up and down driveways. Now I dont hear anything even in the rain (I went through another storm with it). Anyways no more noises for me. I believe they need to break in to the tophats. The thing is I wasnt even sure if it was the spring that was the cause of the noise either.

How long have you had the springs installed now?

How much of a drop can we expect on the Nismo with the swift springs?
If one were to put 20" wheels with the Swift springs, what would the ideal front offset be?

I just picked up my 370 Friday and the first thing I noticed was wheel gap. Seems like Sprint gives a moderate drop and handling is improved, pretty much sold.

I guess the only thing would be seeing how I make it in and out of the garage stock before I go lower :D
