I will definitely have the spacers, but whether they will be installed or not is another question entirely haha. I always take pictures (and often get carried away) so those will be posted, but I will try.

Sweet! I might be pulling the trigger on this....

Completely silent, there is nothing that these springs have done worse than stock in every way. The more I drive on them, the more I like 'em!

370Z JT 12-28-2010 12:20 AM

^nice. Confirming my set with Lou@Amplified for end of January!

CFZ 01-04-2011 04:13 PM

You wont be dissappointed. it's just a good all around spring. Performance increase, nice stance, comfortable.

brakedrift12 01-06-2011 02:58 AM

Thanx for the review :) I finally made decision!! Thanx once again!

VaGntlmn 01-06-2011 06:18 PM

I see 370zTune has them for $410

370Z JT 01-06-2011 07:38 PM

^they are selling theirs for $320 +shipping.

Contact amplified. They will earn your business.

christian370z 01-06-2011 08:00 PM

I got mine at Kamispeed for $330 shipped which was the best deal I could find. I am not sure if they still have any left in stock, last I checked they had one set a month ago.

VaGntlmn 01-06-2011 08:15 PM

At KamiSpeed I was looking at list.
Thanks guys

CrownR426 01-06-2011 10:29 PM

Wheres the best price for these?

ClemsonWill 01-07-2011 08:55 AM

I kind of wish I had gone with these over the H&R. Oh well. I'll be getting coilovers in the future.

I just ordered mine from KamiSpeed. $335 w/ free ground shipping.
Hoping to get them installed on the 17th :ughdance:

JGreenwood07 01-09-2011 11:11 PM

Just ordered mine last week from KamiSpeed as well. Spoke to someone on the phone and apparently the next shipment is in port and should be headed to customers this week.

If you don't add any type of camber correction Could you post your camber angle numbers after its aligned, the shop can provide you with camber, caster, and toe settings.

I still think you need rear camber kit.

christian370z 01-10-2011 02:27 PM

^Depends on whether you want to get back to stock specs. These springs still let you get back within the factory range for camber front and rear so camber arms are not a must and tire wear will still be acceptable.

I didn't. Got the rears to -1.9 degrees. :happydance:

DIGItonium 01-11-2011 12:26 AM

tjlazer, how's your FI exhaust holding up? I'm debating about getting these springs in combination with 245/40 & 285/35 or 275/35 & 305/30. I'm probably spamming all over the place since it's driving me nuts. I've scraped the exhaust a few times due to some crappy steep driveways, but the front bumper rarely gets scraped.

LunaZ 01-11-2011 07:53 AM

In for updates after you guys put some more miles on the springs.
I also have a FI cat-back, so if any of you guys who have these springs and the same exhausts could comment on whether or not you're scraping, that would be great!
THX!

Great! Haven't scraped the cans not once!

VaGntlmn 01-11-2011 08:21 PM

I was hoping to get these installed next monday (Jan 17), but it looks like that's not going to happen. I (also) spoke with somebody at KamiSpeed, and they told me that the springs had made it past customs in California, but still had to be delivered to them before they could turn around and ship them to me.
It's now tuesday night and my springs have not yet been shipped. :-( Not looking good.

After they're installed, I'll be more than happy to post the numbers.
I was planning to wait about 2 weeks before getting a 4-wheel alignment (give them a chance to settle in a little bit).
If I need a camber kit, I'll be SURE to let you know.

So just a little background on me I have owned several cars and I am a track junkie. I have always put coilovers on my vehicles though but its come to a point in my life now, where I feel like I shouldn't make my daily driver so uncomfortable. So I decided to look for the most quality spring I can find. I have always put the Swift coilover spring on my coilovers and then I found that they are making lowering springs for my vehicle. That was when I was already ready to buy.

Anyways I have had several lowering springs, I mean they are just springs so I do not expect much from them. They lower the car generally without any performance gains, and most likely the manufacturer gets the stock springs increases the spring rates a little, and then chops the springs and then mass produces them. I have spoken to Swift several times throughout the long wait and they would explain to me the R&D process they go through in Japan as well as the race teams in japan that are sponsored by Swift to help design the spring.

So as for the review.
So I received these springs friday of last week and then installed them immediately after I came home. Got the car aligned at the local alignment shop and went straight to the Willow Springs the local racetrack the next morning.

For Swift, lowering the car was secondary, their priority was to get the best performance out of the springs maximizing what they can out of the stock shocks. This suspension mod is truly the cheaper alternative to coilovers.

When I first drove on them I immediately noticed that the car felt much smoother than stock. You will notice that the uneven surfaces of the road are completely soaked up. It was exactly the opposite of what I was expecting. I know, seeing that the spring rates are so high, it's hard to believe. It wasn't until I first cranked the steering wheel from side to side that I actually noticed that the spring rates were stiffer. There is almost no body roll.
It's interesting that they are able to make a lowering springs like this.

Now on the track the car felt extremely stable and goes around the corners really well. In fact they did an incredible job making the car neutral. There is almost no body roll, and the car does everything that I ask it to. The steering response was also a very noticeable difference. Through the high speed corners the car was easily adjusted through the control of the throttle. There was no understeer nor oversteer through the high speed course. It was just very controlled.

Over all I have no complaints about the springs at all.

here is what the car looks like. The rubber tophats still need to settle in still and sits a tad bit lower now. This is the perfect amount of drop Im looking for.

considering they were more than I imagined the springs to be I would rate these a solid 9.5/10
I docked the .5 out of there for the people that want to slam their cars.

Having any prob. with stock shocks??

CFZ 01-14-2011 11:47 AM

no.
not at all.

Please don't quote whole posts with numerous pictures. People do it here in various forums. It adds up, and it gradually slows down the whole site. Thanks. :driving:

How much can this kit drop?
Would I be able to drop 1-2 without problems?

I experienced a 1.3" drop in the front and 1.1" drop in the rear which in my opinion is just about perfect for the 370z. Any lower and it would be much more difficult to drive in real world situations due to scraping.

cdoxp800 01-18-2011 10:44 AM

Just placed my order with kamispeed. Should have them the end of the week.

CFZ 01-18-2011 01:39 PM

Anyone else received their springs that wants to add to this epic review thread?

I just ordered mine [early], but it won't get installed till late spring when I get a new set of shoes... and maybe some other stuff while the wheels are off.

Osiris 01-22-2011 08:23 PM

I was hesitant to buy these springs 'cause i didn't think the drop would be enough. But now that i have them installed, the drop is perfect. Got a 1.25" inch drop in front and .9 inch in rear immediately after install. Will re-measure in a week after they've settled. Here's a couple pics, will post more when i get them.

Your Z looks good, Osiris!

christian370z 01-23-2011 12:08 AM

That is the perfect drop Osiris, it is more of a "functional" drop which still really sets the wheels off very well. I am jealous, your Z looks awesome!

hdskull 01-23-2011 12:33 AM

Damn Osiris, that looks awesome! Can you post a picture of the whole side view? I bought them but I'm debating on whether I should put them on.

Swift springs are one of the nicer made springs out there with a ballanced drop..... We can install them for you when we powdercoat your wheels. ;)

Osiris 01-23-2011 09:57 AM

Thanks guys; yea, i'll get some better pics hopefully today.
