thanks everyone!

Sorry but I dont have any updated pics to show you guys yet. But you might as well install toe bolts on the rear because you can change out the rear spring at the same time. I did SPL camber arms on the rear also. Font camber is at -1.5, rear at -1.7.

Do your research.:tup:There are tons of pics on the forum with various set ups. I may eventually install camber arms up front depending on tire wear. A lot of guys leave it as is. After the drop With the spec r springs most end up with about -1.4 to -1.7 camber in front without adjustable arms. My ride is in winter hibernation right now. I installed most of the suspension in January. Waiting on F.I. Exhaust to ship now.

SS:yum: prefer CF but in the event of scrapage I think the SS would hold up better.

^^^ this

I'm on swifts, rear camber kit, no front. FI CF and don't scrape. Just be slow with driveways and speed bumps and you'll be fine.

My springs just came in today and will be installed tomorrow. Can't wait! Currently running H&R 20/25 spacers.

For the people with swifts and 20/25 can an alignment get the car into spec?

Fairly close, don't think you'll ever be able to get it perfect without camber arms.

ZMan8 03-07-2013 09:53 AM

It's hit or miss. Some people barely get in spec some just out of it.

KaienZ34 03-07-2013 11:05 AM

One day i'll have mine installed, but no time soon.

It should be a good fit. Add some oversized tires and it will pop.

Yup, but you probably need rear camber kit with toe bolt. Fronts are not a problem to get in spec. Current tire wear will be a factor on getting it in spec. No upper control arms needed for fronts.

wheee! 03-08-2013 07:21 AM

My fronts made it is as far in as -1.6 (-1.2 spec I believe) and my rears made it to -2.8 (-1.7 spec I believe) with the Swifts. I left the fronts as is because turn in is enhanced and handling is a lot better. The rears were too much for the 305's so I added the rear camber arms and toe bolts to maximize tire life.

Thanks guys. Unfortunately, my car won't be ready until tomorrow. Long story, but that's Guam for you. Hope they didn't mess anything up. The Nissan dealership has had since 1000. I'm just hoping it was a case of job priority mismanagement and not due to damage they're trying to cover up.

UnReal 03-08-2013 12:11 PM

Will get my springs installed today :happydance:

Finally got the springs installed today. Overall, I'm very pleased with the ride and drop. Wish I had some nice aftermarket wheels.

370zGatorman 03-09-2013 09:21 AM

Looks good Angelo! Good to see you here as we used to talk in the Nismo wheels thread at my350z.com :) I had the yellow 350z but wrecked in the rain and traded it in on a brilliant silver 370z and couldn't be happier.

/Angelo350Z/ 03-09-2013 06:38 PM

^^ Thanks Gator, and yeah I remember. I remember when you first got the LMGT4s on your 35th AE. Sorry to hear about the 350Z, at least you moved up to better things :tiphat:.

370zGatorman 03-09-2013 06:43 PM

Yep, I only had the 350z for a year and a half :( I hydroplaned and did around 3 circles in the rain and then slammed into a huge bush and then a tree. It was so close to being totalled but they decided to fix it and I chose a horrible bodyshop lol After returning it there 5 times I just decided to trade it in on a 370z and everything's been much better since :) Yeah, the LMGT4's were still on it when I traded it in so someone is probably happy with the 350.

dmemenza 03-11-2013 12:36 PM

Hey guys, new to the 370Z forum. I am about to buy some Swifts SPEC-R's for my G35 coupe. For those that have had the Swifts on for a good bit of time, how much wear and tear do they put on the stock shocks? On Swifts website, they said they recommend using high performance shocks, but its not required. Appreciate the feedback fellas!

wheee! 03-11-2013 01:14 PM

You can leave the stocks on with the Swifts, but when they are worn out from normal use, replace them with Koni's or similar...

 Yes.

MrXistential 03-18-2013 12:33 AM

These look great

I have two questions:
1. do you guys have any problems scraping on speed bumps?
2. does this give the 370z a similar ride to the old 350z?

thanks

1. I scraped on some speed bumps BEFORE the Swifts! So you have to be careful on any bump/pothole. No different than any other lowered car.

2. Never drove a 350, but I cannot imagine the 350 had a setup as good as a 370 with Swifts....

DanohKeo 03-18-2013 07:55 AM

Greetings all. This thread has been heavily attended and I browsed through the first ten or so pages and seems that there are no complaints. I just got mine installed about an hour ago and on the drive home, it seemed to be swaying every time I would hit a bump. Is this normal? I thought maybe I just need to let them settle. Also it was snowing on the way home, would that have played a big factor? Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

/Angelo350Z/ 03-18-2013 08:22 AM

Mine makes some noise at low speeds when going through bumps, or even when I turn the wheel slowly. I know why the noise is there; it's because the OEM spring silencers weren't installed or maybe the springs aren't sitting properly on the shock. Either way, they're easy fixes. I would still recommend these springs.

wheee! 03-18-2013 10:13 AM

Should not have any sway. Have the shop check their work.

Chuy 03-18-2013 01:19 PM

Could also be the ruts in the road, I noticed when I got some braces for 240SX.
