After researching on what is needed when installing Swifts here is what I have learned from this thread as well as other threads on this forum:
- May or may not need rear camber arms and/or toe bolts to get back to OEM spec - Need rear camber arms and toe bolts to get back to ideal spec So in shopping around for springs as well as rear camber arms and toe bolts I came across this: SPC Rear Camber Bolts 370Z, G35, G37 In the notes it states “2 Kits are required for independent toe and camber adjustability.” Does this mean I can get away with getting an extra set of bolts in lieu of camber arms? Obviously an advantage of this would be cost, but what would the disadvantage(s) be? If my research concludes to just buying the camber arms I also have another question. Does anyone have any experience with SPC camber arms with Xaxis? SPC Performance Camber Arms Kit with xAxis - 370Z, G35, G37 | KamiSpeed.com I noticed they are straight while the other arms (SPC and SPL) are angled to prevent them from hitting the sway bar under suspension travel. Maybe I am overthinking this and I should just go for the tried and true SPL camber arms w/ SPC toe bolt rear setup. Thank you -D |

Looks good bro
Get it all done at once, cost less probably. Should drive better than it did. Wait and drive 200-300 miles before alignment. Letting the springs settle...There are pics in my profile with 15/20 spacers. The pics with OEM rays... Most of the pics are 305/265 tire combo too. There might be a couple with stock tires lowered with spacers.

Cool awesome pics man!! and thanks for the advice! I guess the real hold up is me deciding on the spacer size lol i am definitely checkin out your ride and onzedge's. Im just having a hard time, don't know if I should do the 15/20 or 20/25. I think I am leaning toward 15/20 though haha.

If you look at Onzedge's Z running 15/20 with the Michelins it looks almost the same as mine with stock tires on the same wheels running 20/20. Spacers were a real tough call for me too. I didn't want any poke on the rear and I wanted to run enough spacer on the front to kind of 'match up' the look of the front to the rear. I did Swifts, camber arms, toe bolts, alignment, etc before measuring for spacers yet measuring didn't really solve things. I eventually went with my gut which told me 25s on the rear would poke too much for my liking, or rather, make the rear appear different than the front. It's a tough call. The tires you run might make all the difference. Sorry to mess with you more. 104 |
