A lot of the US side of the companies have gone under in the recent few years... for example: JIC Magic, Signal Auto, and etc.

I glad these companies are still holding their grounds (consider the current economy world wide) in their home turf.

Apex'i is still in business in America. I guess their shop (or office/warehouse) is still in Orange, CA.

We received a set of the A'pex coilovers for our shop car this past weekend. I didn't get to take too many pictures as we were very pressed on time, however the quality is definitely top notch.

Unlike most other coilovers I've seen on the market, the A'pex coilovers use different materials to dampen the sound levels/harshness typically found in aftermarket coilovers. This is especially evident in the rear, where A'pexi actually designed the top and bottom collars to bolt into the bottom spring arm/top frame with almost an OEM-like fit.

Valving and dampening are definitely very well suited towards our cars.

If you were nearby I would give you a test drive

These are miles better than the last set of Stance's I ran. These definitely can't go as low, but the dampening, spring rates, and valving are way better than the Stance. Dampening and rebound aren't as bone-jarring as the OEM Nismo suspension, but these are definitely well suited for street/track driving. I also like the added machined and rubber bushed parts that make these a perfect street coilover.

Unfortunately I've been too busy for a track day, but one is in the works.

Victor, I'm planning to get a set of these when the $$ is right. I had a few questions...

What is the purpose of the 2 parts to the springs? The red/black parts... Different rates?

I tried putting a set of eibachs on my Z, but due to my subs in the back, the rear set couldn't handle the additional weight. Will these have the same problem, or how could I adjust it to prevent this from happening? If that is possible, then more power to these!

Also, is there anything in the works for an automatic controller like the Tein EDFC? Not completely important, but still a nice feature if possible...

Looking forward to your review!
