Default Lubricant for SPL Endlinks

My front and rear SPL endlinks are becoming a bit noisy and are in need of lubrication. What lubricant(s) are recommended ... lithium grease, anti-seize, teflon aerosol spray??? Tried a silicone spray, but it proved ineffective after a few days of driving. Looking for something more durable. Worried that grease may collect a lot of dirt. Thanks in advance for the input. Note that the endlinks are relatively new, properly torqued and properly aligned ... so the noise is not due to wear or misalignment.

If you installed a new sway bar at the same time as the end links. It could be coming from the sway bar bushings.

Every once in a while. I will give the links a shot of white lithium grease in a spray can. Wipe them off and spray them. Then wipe again.

Thanks Rusty, ... I'll give that a try. The sway bar bushing are well lubricated. The noise appears to be originating from the endlinks. It's intermittent and mild. It can only be heard when driving slow (5 - 10 mph) over relatively bumpy pavement.

So I wiped down the endlinks and applied the lithium grease per Rusty's instructions. Also cleaned and lubricated the swaybar bushings for good measure. Did a visual inspection of the other suspension components and all looked good. The noise is now less frequent, but still noticeable when driving slowly, even straight on fairly smooth roads. It disappears (... at least it can't be heard) at speeds above 10-15 mph. The noise first appeared earlier this year when I took the car out of winter storage. At that time, I did a brief overall inspection of the car, raised it and changed some fluids (diff, tranny, engine oil and clutch) and also decided to install a Z-Speed engine under-shroud. Nothing else. I'm wondering if the under-shroud may be flexing while driving and rubbing intermittently on something, causing the noise. I'll remove it and check for any obvious signs of rubbing, but in the meantime, I would ask whether anyone else has had any rubbing issues with the under-shroud, and if so, what was the source. Incidentally, the under-shroud is tight as a drum when installed using the hardware supplied by Joe at Z-Speed. Thanks in advance for any input!

Just disconnect the end links and go for a drive, if the noise is still present then its not the end links

SPL parts are not conducive to minimizing NVH
osbornsm and cv129 like this.

I use dry film spray lubricant. Make sure when you set them up that they won’t go in a bind. I had one back out most of the way because I didn’t have the jam nuts tight enough. Was noisy as hell Check your sway bar bushing bolts also.

FWIW, here is what I used to ultimately solve my SPL end-link noise issue;

Whiteline KLC204
Whiteline KLC141

TreeSemdyZee and Quicksilvers like this.

I have used “tri flow superior lubricant” for my heims and uniball joints for my off road Titan with no problems
