Slip Light Stays On

Whats up guys thought i would give this a try on here . i recently hit a curb pretty bad on my car in the rain and afterwards the slip light turned on but now it wont turn off . Does anyone know why this slip light stays on even tho i will literally be in neutral ?? Any help will be nice thanks yall!!!

A slip light that stays on usually means that TCS isn't working as it should. Most likely because the pads are worn, or in your case, may have popped loose. I would get them inspected.

You may have damaged the wheel speed sensor for that wheel. Check it out.

Also, because of worn pads your brake fluid could be getting low. Anything below half could cause the same issue.

If you hit a curb and this has been the case since the incident this is more than likely the cause. Other things can cause it but would probably give you some different/other tells for troubleshooting.

This as well. Make sure your brake fluid is maxed. I’ve heard numerous times of issues with braking system sensors that were resolved with filling brake fluid to max. Maybe wouldn’t hurt to pop that wheel that hit the curb off and inspect your pads to be sure both are seated properly and everything looks good.

If you smacked the curb (or anything else) hard enough to set off TCS lights, you need to get the front steering and suspension inspected for damage. It might be as trivial as a sensor knocked out of place or it could be the front wheel about to fall off. And there's a good chance that you knocked things out of alignment. Any good tire/alignment shop should be able to perform an inspection.

I am taking it in to get new front control arms, rear camber kit, and toe bolt on next week . i also have new wheels going on, some VSXX's, should i wait until then for realignment and stuff?

Yes. But don't be driving hard until you get things checked out.

You might have damaged a wheel bearing assembly when you hit the curb. The wheel sensor is part of the assembly.

On a side note, why would you even consider driving a car after hitting a curb?

Hey guys, I've been having the same issue for a while now, my slip light and only my slip light has been constantly on for over a month. I've finally gotten tired of it so I decided to update my maintenance on my brake by replacing the brake fluid, brake pads, and new braided lines. My brake fluid is up to the full mark however my slip light is still coming on. When I run the car for codes it's reading that my brake fluid is low however that doesn't appear to be the case. I've cleared the code several times now but the light keeps turning on with the same code. Any ideas? I would appreciate it, thanks.

The reservoir level has to be FULL, not just close.
