OP, as long as you're not pushing your brakes too hard on the track, there are a good variety of pads available for use. Hawk HP+ pads are probably the best Hawk pads for you. But something like EBC Yellowstuff would probably do just fine as well.

Yeah, the Yellowstuff pads are a good DD and light track pad. I've used them for about 3 years now. Just switch to the Carbotechs.

What is the equivalent Carbotech pads to Hawk HP+? Which one is better and why? Looking for the longest lasting track/DD pads. If its out of budget Ill just go with the cheaper of the two. They both seem to satisfy what I need out of them. This is a weekend/track car, about 5k miles a year or less...

What is the equivalent Carbotech pads to Hawk HP+? I don't know that answer.
As for the longest lasting track/DD pads. That depends on the track and your experience. The more track time you get. The faster you become. The shorter your pad life. I've known guys to change pads after each track day. Rotors play a part in this to. I have Racing Brake 2 piece rotors. Which is a HARD rotor. I haven't tracked yet with the Carbotech's and these rotors. So I may be changing the pads to something with more bit. Most of the other rotors out there are a softer iron.

So you have been reasonably pleased with OEM pads so far. Got it. So you don't push your braking on the track. Got it. This is all very relevant information that you did not provide in your OP ![]() The Hawk HP+ pads should be fine for you. Lots of other pad options out there as well. Carbotech has the right idea though: they say their street pads are not suitable for any track use.
