Since upgrading to captain at my airline, powdercoating vs flying is no longer economically viable. I am keeping the business open for the shops and previous customers that I have done work for so I can continue writing off my Cayenne and racecar, but I'm burned out after 10 years of working 28-31 days per month.

To the OP, I don't think you can acheive that DIY. Either need to go to a body shop or a powdercoater.

My paycheck will never be as big as yours though. Congratulations on the upgrade. It's unfortunate you don't accept new customers as I was hoping to do this someday.

My schedule is for 14 days a month, 12 hr days. With overtime. I usually get over 2600 hrs a year.
