Default Modifiy for Brake Ducts Question

Just picked up a PW Sport '16 and setting it up for track. Although I can make my own brake ducts, I intend to buy the Stillen kit.

What size is the ducting in the Stillen Brake duct kit? Can't find it anywhere.

Also, I have searched for days and can't find how people are modifying the nose for the ducts. The nose appears to be identical to a '15. Some are cutting holes in the fascia, but I am having a problem cutting holes in a car that is days old. Most seem to cut-out the little insets between the fins on the fake brake ducts on each side of the main opening. Thanks for your help.

You have to remove the wheel hubs in the front to get the new heat-shield mounted. Those bolts will not be pleasant. It's a 2" or 2.5 inch hose, Def not 3"

Also you can install NACA ducts under the car to feed the rotor hose.

Hope it's not 2" hose. I will be also ducting in additional air from underneath.

I was talking about the front fascia. I will carefully cut out each flat plastic fill in-between the fins and fab a plate to go on the backside with the right size mount for the hose. I need to know what size the hose is to buy the mount.

I just went and measured my stillen kit sitting in the box. The hose is 2".

Seems small and when I first opened the box I was like wtf but according to the data it gets the job done.

Thank you very much Shotta. Yes 2" is small.

I have always used 3". From what I have read, the kit is marginal to not enough which is why I already knew I would need additional cooling. I may just make my own kit using the dust shields like some others have done.

I suspect the 2" size was chosen because of the relatively small opening in the stock bumper. Though it makes you wonder why they wouldn't have beefed it up for the Stillen bumper version. Maybe just ease of routing in general.

Yea, the Stillen kit is 2" hose. I use that, the factory Nismo ducts, Ti heat shields between the pads and pistons, and Racing Brake 2 piece rotors on my Nismo. Have not run into a problem yet.

To chime in, I built my own kit using 3 inch hose. That said for ease of install and to minimize space taken up I wish I had gone with the 2 inch
