will this affect tire wear?

I want to lower my car. Not by much, just a bit. My question is, will this much of a drop affect the way way my tires wear out? I

Default will this affect tire wear?

I want to lower my car. Not by much, just a bit. My question is, will this much of a drop affect the way way my tires wear out? I doubt I will need a camber kit with this but I'm not sure and don't have much knowledge in the area.

prokits will drop the car pretty good. and they suck as far as lowering springs go unless u get stiffer dampers to match (ie: koni's).
i suggest u go with swifts instead if springs-only.

u will want to get a camber kit on the rear and get your toe aligned as well... it's really the toe that kills tires.

would you mind giving me more details on the swifts? where to buy and exactly what to buy? I dont want a big drop. Just a slight one mostly to fill the well gap.

Very new to modding so be gentle

yah, there is a huge swifts springs thread in the suspensions section. check it out.

i run swifts on my dd and it is by far the BEST matching lowering springs to stock damper setup ive tried through decades of modding cars. usually i buy dampers with lowerings springs (like my G is currently running prokits + tokico d-specs which are adjustable dampers) but the swifts can be had with just the stock dampers.

and they wear very well through the season. no sign of rust through 3 years of road salt. can't say dat with tein or them junk tanabe springs.

prokits handle weather well too btw...but u will want dampers to go with them.

Cost is a concern so I guess I'll end up with swifts. Do you still recommend the camber on the rear?

I have the Eibach Pro Kit on my car with front and rear sways have no complaints! Check out my profile for pics to get an idea of the drop. Fyi I'm only running rear spc camber bolts. Hope this helps it really depends on the build your going for.

Same here with the Swifts. They are pretty good with the stock shocks.

Some Eibach's tend to sag over time and they do lower the car more than the Swifts.

Yep. You'll want to do that at the same time.

I think there was a diy for it too somewhere.

It's not written in stone that you need to get front and rear camber arms. People will recommend it,but to be honest I don't have them and my tire wear is the same all across all tires,and that's after 8 months on them. Not to mention the natural camber looks good. When I got an alignment,the toe was able to be adjusted back to spec.

Cant go wrong with the Swift... I have them on my Z with stock dampers and SPC rear camber arms and I can tell you that is the best springs I use on my cars... And my Z is for DD use and track machine sometimes... Best of the best my friend!
