Just had an incident last night at a local car show where the wind was so hard, it actually blew the hood off of the rod . Luckily there was no damage. I just placed an order for a set and can't wait to get rid of the "rod".

How hard do they push the hood up? Our hoods are light and I have seen some struts that rocket the hood up at 50mph, lol.

They are softer force than some of the other modes I have seen first hand.
50mph... I would say no but they will lift on their own after about 1/3 the way up so if you lift it in a hurry as if you were helping it up it will likely have a little snap to it.
I went through 8 different strength sets until we found what we liked best, I reduced it substantially from where I started. I know we are using 50% less force than of some others I have seen out there.
