How hard is the install? Any recommendations on what to use to get the covers off the interior map lights?

You should just be able to pop them off very carefully using a thin flat-head screw driver.

If you push in on them like you're turning them on and hold you'll be able to get a screwdriver or something on the front inside corner fairly easily.
