Engine Knocking

When my oil temp gets over 90C and if have given it a bit for a little while, I notice the engine has a loud roll over/ knocking noise but

I have taken it to Nissan and they reckon it's normal. Once it cools down a bit the sound seems to go away. I think it might be the lifters?? Does anyone else have this problem or sound?
