Ipod cable too short

If it is what I think it is just get a usb cord extender from best buy or radio shack.

No it's not a usb connector. It's the connector that plugs into an Ipod nano's base. It's rectangular, about an inch wide and about an 1/8 inch thick. The other end is a weird Nissan proprietary connector. If it was USB it would be no problem.

Never mind I found what I need:

CableJive: Dock Extender Cable for iPod and iPhone

I need a longer cable so I can get my Ipod onto my dash mount and out of my drink cup.
