Power wire gauge through firewall?

OK I started doing my install today and I'm totally perplexed. Did Nissan nix the grommet on the passenger side for '12 models? I know I ran the wire using

Did Nissan nix the grommet on the passenger side for '12 models? I know I ran the wire using this method in my '09, but I have removed the plastic shroud and the battery in my '12 and I can't for the life of me find the damned thing. I managed to run this wire into the cabin in less than 10 minutes in my first Z. Today I've been trying to figure it out for an hour with zero progress.
