Do you have an aftermarket exhaust on the car? I can no longer use bluetooth in the car because to quote a coworker, "it sounds like motherf*cking NASCAR jesus christ

If that's the problem, you're kinda boned. If it's not - try relocating the mic mount to the a pillar on the driver's side close to head-level. That's where mine is and it worked like a charm (before the exhaust/HFCs went on)
