Hey there! I am a soon to be new 2013 Nismo owner and was wondering if I could chime in!

I come from a pretty decent audio background so here's the first thing that come to mind (i apologize if i didnt read enough into your audio builds).

With those speakers you listed you realistically need without a doubt active processing. I highly suggest AGAINST the JBL MS-8. I would go Audison Bitone, Pioneer DEX-P99RS (my personal favorite), or the Mosconi DSP 6to8 (i hear is pretty good). I have personally used all of these extensively except the new Mosconi one.

Having 8's and 10's (especially the w3) is kind of redundant IMHO. I'd highly suggest getting the biggest sub (cone size) you can fit. Having 8's and 6.5's is kind of redundant also IMHO. There's very little pickup an 8" can have in addition to a 6.5" that a correctly tuned/positioned subwoofer can't. Keep it simple!

I'd like to thank all of you for your support, you've provided me with multiple options and that was what I was looking for. So that you can better understand my thinking on this it’s purely from the stand point of not wanting to give up what I put so much heart into. Truth be told I'm a purest, I have a rocking media room and when it comes to music I only use me two fronts which are three way full range speakers (never a sub!) So my thinking for the system for the car is, I would love to just run the Morels 3 way and sell the sub, I know what the system sounds like with just the fronts and it just needs a bit more punch, but without first hearing the different configurations I'm in a holding pattern. I think what I will do is read as much as I can about the Audison and the Pioneer, then make a purchase tomorrow.
Thanks again ,
Tom

Default Active System Confirguration

I running an active system via an Audison bitTen (smaller version of the bitOne) for my simple one 5-channel amp with focal K2P's in the stock location along with a sub and amp located in the rear hatch area. The bitTen greatly enhance the sound and imaging from the speakers. The crossovers that came with the Focal speakers were deleted in my active set-up and are controlled by the bitTen. The bitTen is more recent signal processor and is more user friendly than the bitOne.

I know the bitOne will controll three amps and may be what you are looking for in your set-up.

The other brands mention were either not available when I installed my sound system or were new. Another source to check into on signal processor experiences and installation tips is DIYMA.

As someone who has installed 3 of these, I disagree. I know the adjustments are limited with them however for a new person going active or even incorporating new speakers into a stock system they work well. Me personally, I will be running a mosconi 6to8 next year with my focal build. I do agree with any of the audio processors as they all have pros and cons.
