Yeah, I think i will just go that route. It's cheaper and I was really 50-50 on replacing my cubby lid. I really dig the red stitching.

The mirror route is the least pain in the *** way to go as well.

This is probably one of if not the best add on back-up cameras available. Alpine Electronics of America, Inc.
I am running this one with my KEnwood HU and I also have the Nissan in rear-view mirror monitor and back-up camera too. I have videos of both in my journal. The Alpine gives you 4 selectable views with its camera and also audio and visual warnings when objects are behind your car in blind spots. It works great.

forgot to ask, does your 40th edition come with the homelink mirror? If so you can sell it for a few bucks and recover some $$$, this mirror has the homelink, compass, and LCD and rear view cam....
