Bose/Nav + Audiocontrol DQL-8

Those of you looking for better alternative to the RE-Q and not willing to shell out over $700 for JBL-MS-8 or an Audison I'd like to recommend the AudioControl DQL-8.

Default Bose/Nav + Audiocontrol DQL-8

Those of you looking for better alternative to the RE-Q and not willing to shell out over $700 for JBL-MS-8 or an Audison I'd like to recommend the AudioControl DQL-8.

It will accept inputs directly from the Bose Amp and sum together the Highs/Mids/Rears and Sub together and output it various configurations.

It also has has built in EQ and crossovers as well as lots of tuning capabilities. It doesn't have auto tuning or time correction that the more expensive units have but for me I just don't really care about that stuff and couldn't justify the cost to myself. You can find them new for about $400 if you look around hard enough.

The RE-Q is great for what it does but i was getting tired of some of things it did to restore the bass on my mids. With the DQL-8 I feel like I have full control over every frequency on every speaker.

Hope this helps anyone interested in keeping their Bose system and would like more control over their sound without having to break their wallet.

Default Signal Processor Options

[QUOTE=The Weapon;1685526]Those of you looking for better alternative to the RE-Q and not willing to shell out over $700 for JBL-MS-8 or an Audison I'd like to recommend the AudioControl DQL-8.

I considered this prior to purchasing a Audison bitTen signal processor. I paid around the same price as the AudioControl unit mention. The limits to the bitTen is that it is designed for a simply sound system(front, rear and sub channel). It include time correction and a wide tuning capabilites. Tuning is accomplished via the bitTen software installed on a computer.

I will post pics of my sound system once I get my custom rear hatch carpet.

I built my own box. each sub is in its own 1.12cu ft. The box is 32"x21.75"x7.5". I'm cutting it close with the dept but managed to pull it off and the subs fit with just about 1.25" of room to the back wall. I'm not quite done yet. I'd like to finish off making it look a bit nicer by adding some covers to the holes surrounding the box. Its not really needed but it will add some additional strength when i put stuff in the hatch.

another option would be the Audio Control LCQ-1, it's a simple analog unit, and works weel and it's under 200.
