Dunno. I was pleased by the sound quality on cell phone calls, but when I got the 4S I was especially pleased that Siri is able to coherently transcribe text and email message as well as respond appropriately to commands.

My guess is that insulating the rear deck and outside of the wheel wells will make a big difference. Another thing to do might be spraying some rubberized undercoating inside the rear wheel wells under the liner.
