Default Annoying rattle/vibration!!!

I recently got around to having my Amuse wing put on and now when my sub is bumping just a tiny bit I get a vibration on the lower, top portion of the wing. I am an audio idiot and the best thing I could come up with to combat this is fill the wing with spray foam.

Will this fix the problem? How hard is it to fill a wing? Im screwed if I miss a spot. I also do not want to add 40 lbs of foam to the car! I already have added enough with all my carbon fiber and wheels. Plus that stuff makes a huge mess of anything it touches.

Thanks!

What about dynamat? That should help reduce vibrations.......

Do you think it's something inside the wing that's rattling or where the wing (or mounting hardware) comesinto contact with the hatch that's vibrating? I'm thinking the latter, in which case some felt or thin foam tape or even thin cork might remedy the problem.

I am not sure this will help my issue.

It is not an attachment issue. I will try and get a vid up or at least a picture of the wing, because it is to hard to explain where the vibration is coming from.

To try again in words...the wing is not solid. It has a gap of about 2" between where it mounts and the top part of the bottom half of the wing. That allows a vibration and makes noise.

Clay, foam, or anything gummy in direct contact between the vibrating surfaces will generally stop audible vibrations, but the location is the key. Lithium or other thick greases work great if it's low mass, meaning not a lot of material is physically moving.

If you fill the wing with foam it will work if you dampen the interface, but if not you'll have a foam filled wing that still makes noise. If you can reproduce the noise with the car parked, get a makeshift stethoscope and try to pinpoint the problem before you decide on a good solution.

It could be your license plate rattling. Put some 2 sided tape and that should fix it.
