Poor radio reception after new install

I installed the vx409 , and the radio reception is terrible !!!! Called the crutchfield tech. support and they advised me of additional wires off of the power ant. that needed to be hooked up gonna try this tonight.. Anybody heard of this ????

The antenna adapter has a blue wire that wire has to go to the blue wire coming off the new head units harness.

but on my car the blue wire coming off the harness did not provide power so i used the blue/white remote wire for the antenna and it finally worked.

Your not suppose to use the one off the car harness your suppose to use the blue one off the radio harness. Either way it will work.

The car "receives" the power while the radio "sends" it.

The antenna needs to "receive" it.
