Default Installed aftermarket DDIN no radio reception.

After installing an Alpine DDIn unit I have no radio reception. I bought the Nissan antenna adapter and that has been installed as well. I've hooked the blue antenna wire to the blue power antenna, ignition, and remote sources and all three do not appear to give a good signal on most stations. DDIN is an Apline IVA-W505.

Any ideas?

Take your antenna adapter for the radio and attach the blue wire to the blue wire of the head unit wiring harness.

I did that, according to Alpine that's the Power Antenna wire. That did not provide any acceptable reception. I will go ahead and try again though--just to be sure.

Which blue wire is it connected to? If it is connected to the blue wire of the power harness that is wrong if it is connected to the blue wire of the actual head unit harness than it is right take a look here.

I had it hooked up to the deck side of the harness.

Just have to ask are both ends of the antenna adapter plugged in? that is the last thing I can think of.

or hook up your blue wire to the remote wire. you need to give the antenna 12v power.

had to do that on my pioneer. works great.

Well, I solved my issues. I noobed out to the fullest. I had the antenna adapter plugged into the wrong port. It looked like an antenna port on the back of the deck but there was another port which came off the deck in a cable. After swapping the radio reception came on.
