This one http://auffarth.com/Bill%27sFolder/242.jpg requires absolutely no drilling and will work well with your Nuvi 255W.

Basically a stick on Garmin mount on a strip of metal as shown in the pic earlier in this thread. Here is an eBay seller selling the stick on mount.. Garmin Nuvi 755 760 765 770 775 780 785 Stick-On Mount - eBay (item 360228726284 end time Jun-22-10 00:30:39 PDT)
