Hey All

I just got the sub box recently.

On a test fit, I noticed that the "car seat hook" seems to be in the way of the sub box. Thus it does not seem to sit flush.

I was wonder if the other folks noticed this as well.

I took some pics but cannot find the SD to USB adapter cable to transfer to my computer...

Thanks,

I am extendingthe $120 370Z special as long as you order with a subwoofer.

Just so you all know I have the Box and 13tw5 on special price of $729.95 and when you take off the 120 for 370z discount you get the box and sub for $609.95 Just wnated topoint that out... That is turn key if you have an amp... And if you don't have an amp we have some amps you can add to the package at great prices.
Hey did you forget about me ??? The first one on the original list ???? You were gonna call me when ready to ship ??

So for what its worth, I installed this stuff this past weekend too.. just my thoughts on this.. I did the 13TW5 and enclosure, with the 900/5 amp.

The enclosure itself is great, super light and seems well put together. The fit for the sub is absolutely perfect, and the rim where you screw down the sub has wood underneath so the screws have something to bite into.

The enclosure came pre-wired with 16Gauge wire, but I opted to go a little bigger, and used the 16g wire to pull a 10gauge pair through the enclosure. Putting 500watts through 16gauge wire didn't seem right to me.

With the enclosure in the spare tire, it seems to sit little high... like a good inch above the styrofoam pieces on the sides, seems like I'd have to build up those side areas a little to make the floor completely flat. Right now I have it in there without the spare, which seems better.. I cut a hole for the sub in the thin carpet and it looks pretty good. You'd have to rub your hand across the carpet to notice its not 100% flush.

Now the most important thing, the sound.. that 13TW5 sub hits super hard. For a shallow sub, I was really amazed how good that thing sounds.. definitely better than the 2 10w3's I had back there previously.

Overall I'm happy with the way it came out.. nice job WickedCAS.

I installed my enclosure today, and I'm very impressed with the way it turned out...its exactly what I was looking for. I am having some issues tuning my JL 500/1 amp. I've used one of the setups from their web page, but they don't use my speaker, I have the 13TW5. If anyone else has this setup, and is happy with how they have their amp, could you please help me so I can get the most from my speaker. Thanks in advance...

Here are my recommendations to start with:

Set filter slope to 24db

Set crossover to 65 Hz

Turn off Infrasonic Filter (This switch is generally used for ported enclosures)

Turn off Bass EQ (At least at first)

Bass EQ Settings:

I would start the Center frequency at 40Hz, Any higher or you will get too much upper bass from this sub.

Also do NOT turn Boost beyond +10

I would set the Q to a wide setting to begin with (1.6 or 2.7)

I agree with most except infrasonic... I would leave that "on" in this application. That will eliminate any frequency lower then 30 hz not go to the sub via amplifier. Human ear can not hear about 20Hz and down anyways and there are very afew recordings that will reproduce 25-30 hz, this allows the amp and subwoofer to work a lot more efficiently. Less heat on amp and less workout for the suboofer for a sound you will not be able to hear.
