Hah I disagree with that analogy. It doesn't affect the performance of the subwoofer or the comfort of the car. The top sits slightly higher than some folks expected. It took me quite a while to figure out what people were complaining about since Nazar said that it wouldn't sit perfectly flush...

cvega will be dropping his car off with me for a couple weeks to make one for a sport model, I will need a sport model spare wheel and tire once again to come up with a solution for Nismo/sport models.

Anyone? Possibly local?

If you can't find one locally I'd be willing to loan my spare if y'all will pay the shipping/packaging.

The main reason this problem bugs me is that whenever I actually decide to put stuff in the back the entire box tilts to one side... the box takes what's left of the useable floor space and makes it unstable.

I implore someone to lend Wicked their spare and help out those of us that have already purchased the box so we can get a better fitting product. Thanks in advance. =)

It makes it a little easier to have the nismo with the 19" spare, this way we won't need to take on the expense of shipping spare tires accross the country. But I will still help you with what you and I spoke about.

For the base model 2011 Z:

If you put the carpet over the speaker, does it lay flat? Or does the speaker stand out a little? Could carpet even effect the sound if you put it over?

Base model you can lay the carpet over the speaker, where the peaker is will bulge out just a little.

If you however use the foam piece provided and cust out for the speaker, you can use thefoam piece as spacerthen lay the carpet over and you will be fine.

Carpet will hinder some speakers and not others. usualy having a grille helps tremendously.

We do offer a carpet with a cut out.

Wicked or anyone do you have a box thats high speed for a no tire area? I have an Alpine XD 12 that needs 9 inches and will be useing the grill and carpet to hide it most of the time.

It can definitely be fabricated, If I had more time with the Z I had at the shop. However it will be leaving by this weekend.

Hmmmm. Just snap a couple pix so we can see the placement of everything. Even with the old design, the finished look was pretty good.
