Both me and you are waiting for the car to show up,they were just about to build my box then Corey ask me to send him some pic of my spare tire( I have the sport package)then your wheel showed up the same day I emailed him he called back and told me that my wheel is the same as a Nismo.

I talked to him on Thursday of last week and was told it could take up to 2 months to get a box b/c they don't have a lead on a car.:icon14:

I second that!

Hardcortes 10-25-2010 09:47 AM

They should go to a dealership and pretend to buy a 370 and ask if they can hold it for the day or something.... and then make a box with that. :ugh2:

Exactly

Gmendez 10-28-2010 06:57 PM

I too am interested in a box with the JL13TW5 for my NISMO, but I would like to have it sit flush (i.e - no speaker "hump". Is this available? When could I expect it? Price?

Gmendez 10-29-2010 08:49 AM

Wicked?

Baer383 11-21-2010 09:39 AM

Still waiting!!!:icon14:

Hardcortes 11-30-2010 09:40 AM

Bad news.....

Talked to Naz at Wicked CAS yesterday and they are still waiting on a 370Z to come in so they can work on the box and he doesnt know when he will be able to get his hands on one.

Imperial 12-03-2010 03:43 AM

I'm suprised this is taking so long... the volunteer would be helping out the community as well as receive a free sub-box... it's a win-win deal!

Baer383 12-03-2010 08:10 PM

The problem is,Corey told me that there aren't that many 'Z' in his area which has been making it difficult to locate one to use.

Hardcortes 12-04-2010 05:33 AM

Well i knew the new england patriots sucked... but so do their residents. GO GIANTS!

Baer383 12-05-2010 10:50 AM

I really can't believe that no one else has come up with a solution for the Sport/Nismo spare wheel problem.:shakes head:

sig11 12-07-2010 11:51 AM

Heck, I didn't even know it was a problem...

roplusbee 12-07-2010 08:12 PM

Worst case scenario, I will drive up to their shop and let them use my NISMO. That is, if I can get time to make the drive. I am having a hard enough time being home as it is. Then maybe I can get my box replaced/fixed.

Well get going I'm losing patience:tup:

This looks very much like the factory Bose subwoofer in my car. For the record, it sounds very good and the carpet doesn't cause any trouble on the Bose unit.

Not really sure what you're trying to convey since we're all talking about an aftermarket subwoofer enclosure that has nothing to do with the OEM Bose system.

Hardcortes 12-15-2010 09:03 AM

Daaaaaaaaaaaamn ;)

sorry for the delay. It has been extremely difficult to get a 370Z here. We truly appologize.

I should be coming to see you guys very soon after the new year. I know I was supposed to send my box in, but this way I get to see the guys behind the product, give you guys a few days to take measurements and such on my NISMO, and get my box replaced without any downtime. Sounds like a win/win to me

Xan 12-15-2010 09:16 PM

What will you be doing with the Z and how long would you need it? Or do you need a Nismo?

I believe they just need a sport package Z.

Baer383 12-16-2010 11:23 AM

No they just need the Z they have the Sport/Nismo spare

Wicked CAS 12-17-2010 01:40 PM

I will need the car for atleast one day as long as I know in advance when I would get the car. or 2-3 days without advance notice.

I did have a spare from someone here but he wants the spare back.

I would prefer a Sport/Nismo

Xan 12-17-2010 04:06 PM

The 40th is with the sports package. But that time is going to be a bit hard, I'm 2 hours away, so if it would be for a couple hours (and there is no snow) I could come down and wait it out, but I can't really leave it behind.

I'll send some messages to other people I know here with 370Z's, I know some of them are a little more up north.

Ty Weezy 12-20-2010 01:20 PM

Man too bad this doesnt fit the nismo model or I would buy this!

Hardcortes 12-21-2010 10:28 PM

Sorry guys...

I just couldn't wait any longer. Two months in my opinion is too long to wait. I understand that there is a shortage of 370zs up there but I will have one of my boys (PG6Speed) making the fiberglass box. We shall see

optiontrader 12-24-2010 04:19 PM

Still in for updates - when WCAS tweaks it, I'll be in when I start redoing the stereo.

The carpets will still be available, correct? I like the WCAS logo one...

I'm have been waiting for 2.5-3 months only b/c I'm doing allot of other work on my car and don't really have anymore time to do it myself, but when I'm done with my work and have time I'm going to get my money back and just do it myself.:shakes head:

n1cd 01-10-2011 09:13 PM

So, whats up with the box now days WICKED? Please update us.

casey.strader 03-12-2011 10:42 PM

Seriously guys...this is getting stupid. There are literally THOUSANDS of dollars to be made on this product if someone actually got it together for the sport model. Surely there has to be someone who has had a fiberglass box made for the 370 sport/nismo models...? I have contacted a few people in Northern Florida about getting a design together and if they come through, I will post pics and let you know of a group price. I would love to just order one from wicked and not have to deal with all of this, but I am TIRED of waiting on this product to get done.

Baer383 03-13-2011 08:07 AM

I waited for 2.5-3 months and I finally finished my box it took awhile but came out great.

Baer, way to go dude. Looks awesome. I removed spare, placed a 9inch @ 22.5degree angled octagonal 6inch deep 3/4 "mdf box with 12" polk and alpine m 500. 1cuft- woofer volume = perfect SQ for that woofer. Awesome smooth sound with stock fronts for now, cheap, 300$ total for now. We need a sport box w spare option

Thanks :hello:

The only problem with a box like this is by the time you fiberglass the wheel(I used 1 gallon of resin and 4 layers on the box)you only end up with .3-.6cf depending on who is building it(I got .5)
The other draw back is you must use shallow mount woofers due to very limited space, mine sounds great with 400watts of power to it,it hits hard but you can still listen to it at a very loud level without getting a headache, for people looking for more the 13JL would give it to but if I was going to use a woofer larger than a 10 I would build a box with 1-1.5cf and put it on top of the by the silver brace and use a woofer with longer cone would yield the sound that bass heads are look for.:tiphat:

I just want to say this again... I have this box in my sport package Z and love it. I had no idea there was a problem of any kind.

Take your box out and turn it upside down then put your spare on it you will see that it wobbles then put it back in and look to see how flush it sits,it about 1in to high mine is the same height as stock.

That has been the problem all along.

sig11 03-14-2011 04:32 PM

It's a silly thing to not buy the box over in my opinion. It doesn't rattle or move and you only lose a tiny amount of hatch space.

That's like going to buy a pair of shoes you like, you need a size 9 then they tell you they only have a 10.

I personally don't know anybody that would do that:tiphat:
