My 10w6 will rip heads off, i don't know why you would ever want more in the Z.. In fact its almost to much. How easy is it to remove this box for the track?

I have the 10" kenwood version. I'm not sure about the 10W6's depth. I think it may be too deep.

I'll be boxing my original Base unit up and sending it back for this upgrade - can I also exchange the Z carpet I got for the one in that pic? That is simply wicked!!!! :)

By the way, the 13" JL Audio I got from Wicked is just awesome - I highly recommend it!

Simply send us the enclosure and carpet, we will start to build you a new one as soon as we receive it and send you a Wicked CAS Carpet.

I have to say that I have been reading this thread from the start and I just had to jump in here and say that you guy's at Wicked are unreal! Your customer service is top notch. I haven't purchased anything from Wicked nor do I know anyone there, but after reading how they listened to all the input about the enclosure and then implementing that info into the build along with the willingness to take back enclosures and rugs for newer versions. Outstanding! Keep it up, in a world where it's extremely hard to survive in business, service like that will take you a long way. Once I'm done with the performance end of my car the audio will be next and I will definitely be purchasing an enclosure.
Kindest regards,
Tom

Well I got mine in the mail last week but didn't have much time to work on it. Just dropped it in to see fitment. Snapped a few photos while I was at it.
Looks great should have gotten a grill for the sub but I'll get that later. Only things I didn't like about it was that the screw driver tool lost its insert because the box is smaller then the OEM foam on the sides so I wedged the screw driver in with the jack, hopefully it stays and wont rattle. The other is the carpet the Z is much bigger then the one from the dealer and the OEM one seems to be a little better material wise but either will work in the end.

Over all its a great product and a very clean look, I should have pics of everything hooked up by Friday.

UH60driver 05-14-2011 01:30 PM

I just got my box installed and hooked up. It sounds great. Just make sure you remove the tie down braket on the support brace when you install the box, otherwise it wont lay flat. I must say that this box paired with the JBL sub sounds awesome in the Z.

Only downside is that there is no way to tie it down. It would be nice it the edges had a simple way to secure the box at the edges where the foam pieces are. The thought of that bulky box flying around the cab in an accident is a bit unsettling.

Other than this, great looking/sounding product which is very well made.

Thanks to Wicked for finally being able to get this product out to the sport/Nismo guys when nobody else did.

Wicked CAS 05-15-2011 08:33 PM

For those wanting to secure the enclosure down, this can be achieved by drilling a small hole in the enclosure where the spare tire nut would be. By using the nut inside the box instead of underneath you can lock it down. However there is a downside. If you ever have a flat tire and need to get to the spare you will need to take the subwoofer out of the enclosure to remove the magic box. you will need to line it up perfect with the hole the spare tire bolt goes into and of course I would recommend some type of a sealer around the hole to stop any air leaks.

If you have an enclosure on order please be patient we are trying to catch up with orders.

If you have a base model enclosure and you need to swap it for sport nismo model, you need to send us your enclosure and we will put your name in the list of assambly line as soon as we get your enclosure. We had to come up with this system to make sure everyone got their boxes in a timely fashion.

2011 Nismo#91 05-16-2011 10:43 PM

That's it pretty much done, only a few things left to finalize. But that will have to wait for another day.

A simple rubber washer would allow that to seal fairly well, no?

If you dont want to wait or order a stealth sub I am parting with my downfiring sub enclosure. Its completely stealth but you will have to sacrifice your spare tire. PM me if interested.

Are you planning on making custom door pods for the 370Z? I bought a set of them for my 350Z a few years ago and they were awesome!

Just a suggestion I would love to see a setup to utilize a 3-way component set.

We have done 3 Way set ups in 370Z with HSK163 HERTZ AUDIO Apeakers.

Getting the new style 3" driver in dash was challenging but it was doable. We had the windshield taken out to get a good working space. It came out awesom.

370Z door will accomodate a great list of speakers, even though the door is restrictive nit as bad as the 350z doors. There is plenty of sound coming out of stock door panels. It would be for the purposes of imaging, and there are other ways in 370Z.

Maybe an A-pillar with a 3" and tweeter.

You can, it is recommended to use a EQ stabilizer device / processor. But you can do it without it. Most amps like JL have speaker to line level input built in. You will need a Sb level control to be able to turn the bass up and down with different music and to compensate for factory equalization.

tjaartk 07-30-2011 09:48 AM

Thanks Mate, can I use the inputs the bose amp used for the JL amp?
