Owning a Nismo I have the base model stereo and wheel controls. If I need to purchase a complete 4-button panel (incl. volume) then I will. I assume the wiring is there and all, and physically making the swap will probably be easy.

I'll start looking for a part number database and see if I can get lucky.

Did a little bit more digging. I think this is what you want... Seeing as how the cruise control + audio/bt controls are on the same wire... this is what i found:

Would I be correct to assume that you are going to do an aftermarket stereo with bluetooth, and want to integrate the steering wheel controls, including the buttons to answer the call?

Yeah, I'm going to be getting the Pioneer AVICZ110BT in the near future and want to get the most out of it.

Cool! Please keep us posted on how the "steering wheel control swap" works out for you. I will be upgrading my system very soon as well, and was wondering how I would integrate the bluetooth, since our base controls lack the buttons for the phone. If I don't get a new set as you are doing, might have to answer via the touch screen. I also wondered if the "mode" button might work with some aftermarket head units........ if they might be programmed that when there is an incomming call, presing the "mode" button automatically answered the call.

Yeah didn't think about that one. I'd assume it'd be translated into a "Source" button so long as the radio had one that opperated the same way. I'll def. make a post about it when it's time.

Make sure you have revision 1.6.7 of the PAC-SWI-PS or it won't support the phone functions.

That's kind of what I thought......... head unit recognizes an incomming call, mutes the music, and automatically sets up the "phone source" as the next source in the que, so when you hit the source button on the steering wheel, it answers.
