Default Looking to upgrade the tweeters, what are the best out there?

I recently added two jl w3's and now I want to add more for the mids and highs. I see there are a couple old posts but I understand new stuff comes out every year. I did some research last year and bought a pair of Orion HCCA 6.5's and a pair of custom 6.5 subwoofers that I never got to install in my other car so I'll be using one of those for the doors. I have a feeling with just the HCCA's I won't have the mid-bass I want so I'll probably avoid using those so I'm really looking for the clearest and loudest tweeters I can buy. I want to send them around 100w each. Please let me know your setups and suggestions I might just go and do a whole new setup if it's worth it. I have a pioneer avic z140 for a deck and kicker zx360 for the amp.

It's not so much clearest or loudest that makes a tweeter superior ...but the signal that the tweeter is feed and it's source material... sure you can look at specs all day, but if you don't have clean power going to it , all for naught.
Crossover points play a huge role in your sound...you can buy the most expensive speaker set in the world but if your crossover point / DB slope sux..it'll sound like crap. IF you listen to compressed music , mp3 downloads and such...your sound mileage will vary. My best sound comes from CD's , specific music...jazz and classical music sounds excellent...usually they use real instruments and record in quality settings and not someones garage.
I personally went with Phoenix Gold Elite series..not cheap at $549.00
but worth every dime spent... I personally like soft dome tweeters...they tend to have a smooth sound and not harsh and bright like metal tweeters...you don't want to sound like your frying eggs in your car...it almost makes music unbearable...Placement in the car is important as well for staging, factory spot sux a bit..I had mine mounted at window corners...along pilar..
If you must look for a "loud" tweeter... look at the specs and look for output sensitivity anything at or above 92 db and your good.
Good luck !

Default Advice

Good advice Birdfan 67 my tweeters are mounted in the low A-pillar area {bigeye} but I am using Boston Pro’s {metal} yes they are bright, but your right about the source. I would like to step up to the top of the line Focals, but they can run as high as 1K a pair

Where did you get that lower A pillar piece for the tweeters? That's really slick.

Are you planning on running an active setup? That is going to be the best way to run a different woofer, and tweeter. Otherwise you may run into some problems. I like image dynamic tweeters or morel, maybe even focal if you want to run them on axis for a smoother tone.

This is also good advice bigaudiofanat I have certain issues that may be modified in the future like increasing bass efficiency with multiple 8 inch units front (focals) and some sort of rear filler speakers to blend in. In addition my head unit is dated so I am just waiting for some type of faluire to occur to prompt replacement. As for the front tweeter mount I am got it from my auto shop friends.
