iDatalink Maestro RR/Kenwood wiring harness

Hello! Ok, so I am at a lost on connecting the 3 wires for the maestro rr, however, do I need to splice in the obd wires of the connector

Hello! Ok, so I am at a lost on connecting the 3 wires for the maestro rr, however, do I need to splice in the obd wires of the connector located beneath the wheel, is there another location That is best to do it from?
