Default Late To The Party

Started looking at Z's a few months ago, thought about getting a Nismo then I came across the 40th. Looked at one in LA and it was pretty beat up despite the low mileage. Found one in AZ, in great shape, low miles, clear bra, tinted windows so I booked a flight, bought it and drove it back to SoCal. I'm a former G37 owner so I'm somewhat familiar with the car but it had been about 15 years since I drove a stick. Took me a few minutes to figure out how to get in reverse, which isn't fun when you bought a new car and are a few feet from bumping into another car. And to show I did my research the salesman told me about "H" mode and I had to correct him and tell him what S mode was. Great car, couldn't be happier, glad I found this place and did my research.

Welcome and congrats!

I did the reverse thing too, I had driven manual before but never had to push down on the shifter to get it to go in reverse so it threw me off.

I ended up putting it in neutral and pushing it to get into my prking space haha...oh memories.

I plan on keeping the car long term, any recommendations on an alarm I can control from my smart phone and a new head unit? I see other people putting in head units with nav but there doesn't seem to be much space between the AC controls and the bottom of the cubby hole. How big can I go?

Thanks, after doing a little research I decided to go with the Apline 7 inch head unit and Viper Alarm with tilt sensor/glass break sensor/GPS unit I can track on my smart phone. After reading the stories on here about people having their rims stolen and being left on blocks it seems like a wise investment and the technology is pretty impressive. Having it done on Wednesday, car will be perfect for me after that.
