With that being said, the title of the post was "bad 1st impression...". It wasn't don't ever buy from Z1 Motorsports. I'm sure I will place an order with them along the way. In the same token, the parts manager could have alleviated my post by transferring me to Dustin when I first asked for him. 3. Dustin - I do appreciate your willingess to honor the match. 4. Unfortunately, I placed the order elsewhere earlier in the day. 5.

1. Because he wasn't Dustin. That's already been discussed.

2. Then continuing on about it is unnecessry, we'll chalk this one up to miscommunication and leave it as such.

3. As you just said in your post, he wasn't there, so how could he...

4. More proof to the contrary to this thread..

5. Then why even make this thread to smear Z1's name unless your just  you didn't get what you wanted how/when/where you wanted it.

Chris = love :yum:

If I wasn't a rep whore and hadn't given out all my rep for the day, I would have given you rep right there!

frost 07-19-2010 03:43 PM

This thread has had the opposite effect of which it was intended, I actually want to do business with Z1 now.

Yes, I did ask for Dustin. I asked the sales manager if I needed to speak with Dustin directly for a price match. He asked me which product the match was for and I told him the filters. He told me Dustin and himself just talked about that particular match and that he told Dustin they wouldn't do it. He couldn't understand why Dustin would tell me that they could.

I'm not sure why you're trying to bash me because I shared a shopping experience that happened to be negative. I didn't condemn them, nor say never buy from them, just shared some of my frustration over a potential first purchase...just as you mentioned the "impression" my first post made on you, a company only has one opportunity to make a first impression on a new customer.

+1!!!!! Cry about it OP!

If you already chose to go with another vendor, why take the time to ruin the reputation of Z1? As you may have noticed, your thread ended up doing the completely opposite of what it was intended. Frankly, you sound like an unhappy child who did not get his way. All of this for $15? These vendors deal with a lot of customers, all wanting what they want, when they want it. If sure if the shoe was on the other foot you would have wanted the benefit of the doubt. After posting this, you had the nerves to say that, I'm sure I will place an order with them along the way. They have a lot of inventory and shipping would be speedy to my location.

Maybe you should try to read some of the Berk thread to see what poor customer service means, and still those customers have chosen to be patient. I've known the guys at Z1 for over 5 yrs and the satisfaction of their customers is the most important to them.

This was a case of an impatient customer, not poor customer service.

:iagree:

I'm sure we could add another 5 previous vendors/companies whose customer service was beyond exisitance... Z1 not being a single one of them.

Matt 07-19-2010 05:42 PM

You're not the only one, OP, that's had a bad experience with Z1.

Although, I gotta say, Dustin is a cool dude...

i LOVE it when people come on a forum and post about a sponsor when the poster has obviously done something wrong and is only here to :stirthepot:, especially when it's about a sponsor that is hands down one of the best on the forum and in the business.
