That's the result of not getting a big enough spacer, not the fact that its a bolt-on. Theres nothing wrong with using bolt-ons if done properly, which obviosuly wasn't in that photo. I have bolt-ons with zero issues not unlike hundreds of other people. But if you really wanna pound your wheel studs out and replace them be my guest, should be fun when you want to put stock wheels back on.

This occurs with 20mm and under. Being that 20mm is one of the most popular sizes on the Z, it's relevant information for those who may read this thread.

The studs are not difficult to change. Using that as an argument to not do things correctly is ridiculous.

Spacers in general are not the correct way of doing things, but that's a whole different discussion.

There's a reason most wheel/tire shops will not touch a vehicle with spacers on it.

Lol. I didn't know bolt on spacers are the incorrect way of doing it. Guess I been putting my life at risk these past 5 years of using them.

Either way works fine

Wheels with the proper offset are the correct way of doing it.
