I trimmed mine where it connects to the fender at the very top. I can hear the rocks being kicked up into the fenders when the tires are cold so

I trimmed mine where it connects to the fender at the very top. I can hear the rocks being kicked up into the fenders when the tires are cold so I wouldn't want all that junk hitting the front without a fender liner. That's just me though.
