Default Fender removal

Has anybody tried or does anybody know how to remove the fender? From the bolts near the A-pillar it seems that the fender is bolted on and can be removed easily if you know where all the bolt points are and how to reach them. I wanted to repaint mine and I wanted to have the edges clean so I was thinking about removing it. I checked the service manual and I could't find any info on it there.

Default Hey there MightyMouse

That is a nice looking fender. Did you end up doing the install yourself or did you have someone do it for you? How is it holding up now?

I've seen your thread before but was wondering if there was a more detailed how-to on top of what kelly posted there, perhaps with images? I guess I just have to try and follow his directions as closely as I can. Thanks.

I havent installed mine because I was having a hard time finding a good body shop in my area and I postponed the install and paint until I finish moving but I've looked at other diy like the headlight removals and side skirts to get a better idea but it all seems very easy and straight forward you might need to tweak it around so that all the gaps are perfect before you tighten everything down. Why don't you pm fly1 I'm sure he can answer all your questions and help you out.

You can also check out my build thread, and hit me up with any questions VIA PM. I have removed these fenders enough to do it in my sleep now lol.

+1 to order a set of Fly1s fenders. I will be able to make a detailed DIY for just the fenders this weekend. They are very easy to remove. I have a set of Fly1 fenders on the way and I will add installing them to the DIY because im going to fit them myself before they head to paint.

Yes, that would be an awesome idea. Please put together a DIY. That would help me save some coin.

I will be posting it up on Saturday so stay tuned. I plan on linking the headlight/front bumper removal and side skirt removal, because mine are already off + they already exist. I will do the DIY on the removal of the fenders, and the fitting of Fly1s fenders (once I get them).
