Friends don't let friends run Varrstoens :icon17:

If that was a Work 2 piece wheel he would have at least been able to drive home.............

I don't understand why Works are so revered when the build is nothing special besides JDM?

And the S1 3pc, if you like the look. Yeah Varrstoens.

Waizzz, what did this person do that their wheel shattered. If it was a Volk, sure it probably wouldn't break like that, but I bet a Work work break just as easily, the centers are made in the exact same way.

The point of this thread:

I just don't understand why S1 or VS-XXs are so damn expensive. If you like the look. Ok. But why are you blowing 4k+ on them? These wheels are DEFINITELY not the BUILD quality of any true forged wheel. And they weigh more than almost every forged wheel... Soooo... Just confused... Call me thick... Is it JUST because they're hella JDM? Do they donate $1k to charity on each set?
More power to you if you want to spend 4k on something you like, I just want to know WHY, why do people say "DAYYYYUMM, you got Works?"

Waiz 11-11-2013 11:21 PM

That same logic can be applied to any mod, but it's really up to the person to determine what they want to do

Works are popular because they are made in Japan and are highly customizable as well as have been around for a very very long time

Just because it's not your thing doesn't mean it's not quality

That Varrstoen broke because it's an originally 3 piece wheel that Varrstoen made a 1 piece cast wheel. They have no regard for quality or integrity only producing something as cheaply as possible

Nope, spun out on an offramp

Thinking more about your point of the thread though I personally would never pay for HRE's and don't understand why others would pay nearly 3 times the cost when there are plenty of cheaper options that are just as reliable.

Just please for the love of everything holy don't ever bring up Varrstoen and functional ever again :icon17:
